Had an amazing Christmas at a bush lodge in northern Namibia. The setting was simply breathtaking, right by the river. The family-run lodge made us feel like part of the family, and the staff were super friendly. Food was top-notch, and the game drives were informative and exciting. We saw a wide range of wildlife, including lions and elephants. , loved the abundance of bird life in the area.
That the campsite was a bit far from the main facilities. It would have been nice to have easier access to the restaurant and bar.

The Shametu River Lodge exceeded our expectations during our third visit. We decided to try a tented chalet on the river and were thrilled with the beautiful and spacious accommodation. the highlight was the zircon, providing much-needed relief from the heat. We opted for the half board basis and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and the great selection of wines. We even treated ourselves to a breakfast on the river, which was well worth the small extra charge. Our excellent guide pointed out hippo, crocodile, and a stunning variety of birds, making our experience truly unforgettable. Cons: Nothing, it's absolutely perfect! 👌.
